PHCCLA is Accepting Instructor Applications for the 2021 CE Classes

Are you looking for an opportunity to work as part of a dedicated team of instructors, striving to achieve your personal best by helping others?  PHCCLA is looking for instructors to join our education team.  As an instructor for continuing education, you will help provide the opportunity to maximize learning and enhance the ability to perform in the workplace.

 

2021 CE Topics Approved by SPBLA
  • SPBLA License Rules & Regulations Updates (0.5 hour)
  • The Costs of Safety (1.0 hour)
  • 2015 IPC/IRC Update (1.0 hour)
  • 2015 IFGC Update (1.0 hour)
  • Professionalism & Profits (1.0 hour)
  • Leadership in the Modern Era (1.5 hours)

Instructor Compensation (Non-Vendor)
  • $150 per instructional hour
  • Mileage reimbursement of $1.00/mile (two way travel)
  • Meal reimbursement of up to $60.00/day (receipts required)
  • Accommodations (one night at hosting hotel or based on standard room at nearest hotel to venue)
  • Train-the-Trainer class registration, accommodations, and mileage reimbursement (held in January/February)
Class Structure and Administration
  • Instructor Responsibilities
    • Update PowerPoints and supplementary teaching materials as needed (some templates provided during Train-the-Trainer seminar and/or by PHCCLA)
    • Review and update material as needed before each class
    • Communicate to PHCCLA staff as needed for accommodations and class needs
    • Monitor Vendor presentations as scheduled during contracted classes.
  • PHCCLA Responsibilities
    • All marketing, promotion, and registration
    • Communications with SPBLA pre- and post-trainings (license verifications and reporting class rosters)
    • Venue contracting, hotel arrangements, and accounts payable
    • On-site venue set up, registration, check-in and check-out, venue tear-down

7:00 – 8:00 a.m.            Registration / Check-in Opens for all attendees

8:00 – 10:00 a.m.          Journeyman and Master Plumber CPE

10:00 – 10:30 a.m.        Break

10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Journeyman and Master Plumber CPE; Gas Fitter and Master Gas Fitter CPE

12:00 p.m.                    Journeymen Plumber not needing Gas Fitters CPE are done and able to check out.

12:00 – 1:00 p.m.         Lunch

1:00 – 2:00 p.m.           Gas Fitter and Master Gas Fitter (all) CPE

2:00 p.m.                     Gas Fitters not licensed as plumbers are done and able to check out.

2:00 – 3:30 p.m.           Master Plumber CPE; Master Gas Fitter CPE

3:30 p.m.                     Master Plumbers and Master Gas Fitters are done and able to check out.
